NoorLingo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the NoorLingo mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

Display name (during onboarding)
Learning goal and experience level

Information collected automatically:

Learning progress (words learned, lesson completions, quiz scores)
Game performance data (scores, accuracy, time spent)
Streak and XP data
App usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics)
Device type and iOS version (for compatibility)
Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)

Information we do NOT collect:

Location data
Contacts
Photos or camera access
Microphone recordings
Financial information (payments handled by Apple)

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize your learning experience
To sync your progress across your Apple devices via iCloud
To track your streaks, XP, and vocabulary progress
To display relevant advertisements (free tier only, via Google AdMob)
To improve the App based on aggregated, anonymized usage data
To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs

3. Data Storage and Sync

Your learning data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and automatically synced to your iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data directly.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob - for displaying advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings. Google Privacy Policy
Firebase Analytics - for anonymized app usage analytics. Firebase Privacy
Firebase Crashlytics - for crash reporting and stability monitoring.
Apple StoreKit - for subscription management. Payments are processed entirely by Apple.

5. Advertising

Free-tier users see advertisements powered by Google AdMob. We respect Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. We will request your permission before any tracking for ad personalization. You can change this at any time in your device Settings under Privacy and Tracking. Premium subscribers see no advertisements.

6. Children's Privacy

NoorLingo is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Data Retention

Your learning data is retained as long as you use the App. If you delete the App, local data is removed. iCloud data can be managed through your Apple ID settings. If you request data deletion, we will delete all associated data within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your data
Export your data
Opt out of personalized advertising
Withdraw consent for data collection

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Effective Date" above.
